Lake Apopka Natural Gas District is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2026 System Operational Achievement Recognition (SOAR) Gold Award by the American Public Gas Association (APGA).
Selected from approximately 750 public natural gas systems nationwide, Lake Apopka Natural Gas District was recognized for excellence in system integrity, system improvement, employee safety, and workforce development. The prestigious Gold designation highlights the District’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient natural gas service to the communities it serves.

This recognition reflects the District’s mission: To provide safe, reliable, compliant, and competitive natural gas energy services with a commitment to exceptional customer service, employee engagement, and improving the quality of life throughout the communities we serve.
Lake Apopka Natural Gas District was one of only 29 utilities recognized with a SOAR award in 2026 and will be formally recognized at the APGA Annual Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, this July.
